Everything tunable lives under Settings. This page is the map: where to tap, what the control does, and which guide goes deeper.

On iPad and Mac, Settings is two-pane: pick a section on the left.
Beginner / easy mode (welcome wizard) hides some power-user rows. Switch to full Settings anytime.
Model parameters
Global defaults (overridable per chat):
- Temperature, top-p, top-k, min-p (where the backend honors them)
- Max tokens / context window
- Repeat penalty
- Reasoning / thinking
- Verbosity (where the API supports it)
- Structured output / JSON mode
- Flash attention & KV cache offload (load config)
- When context is full — Stop / Roll / Cut middle, plus Compact (Chat)
How params apply
The most specific layer that is on wins. Chat-level overrides still sit on top.

| Selected model | Save knobs for that model only. “Use Global params” removes the preset |
| Persona | If the Persona uses custom params, those apply while it is active |
Open Settings → Models and use the Global / selected-model tabs. Chat overrides still sit on top of whatever layer is active.
Appearance

Memory
Memory stores facts across conversations and injects them into the system prompt. Manage entries under Data → Memory. Personas can share memories or stay isolated.
Memory tools run in the background after a chat — you do not operate them as a separate product.
App Lock (Pro)
Protect the app on this device with a 4- or 6-digit numeric PIN.
- Open Settings → Data → App Lock
- Turn on Lock with PIN (LM Mini Pro)
- Choose 4 or 6 digits, enter the PIN, then confirm it
- Set Ask again after: immediately, 15 seconds, 1 minute, 5 minutes, 15 minutes, or 1 hour
The PIN is stored only on this device as a salted hash. It is not synced with Home, iCloud, or cloud backup. Opening the app after the grace period (and every cold start) asks for the PIN.
If Pro lapses after you set a PIN, the lock still works so chats stay covered. Turning it off still requires the current PIN.
There is no reset. Reinstall LM Mini to clear the lock. Your PIN cannot be recovered.
Backup & export
- Export conversations (single chat PDF/TXT; all chats as a ZIP)
- Optional cloud backup when signed in
- Analytics toggles under Data (product analytics — not your chat contents)
Widgets, Live Activity, Shortcuts (iOS)
- Home Screen / Control Center widgets (New Chat, Quick Camera, news where offered)
- Download progress on the Lock Screen / Dynamic Island while a model file is fetching (all users)
- Generation Live Activity for in-flight replies (optional)

Language
Pick UI locale under Language, or follow the system.
